I happened to look in the bottom of an energy drink the other day at work and saw something similar to the above picture. I borrowed my friends iPhone and took this picture. I really like it and had visions of taking the bottle home and reproducing the picture using a better and higher resolution camera.
My wife can't stand clutter. She took my empty bottle and put it in the back of the fridge so that it wouldn't be cluttering the countertop. No problem I think. I can retrieve it from the fridge when I have the time and try to improve the image.
Today I took the bottle out to take the picture. It seems my wife, in an effort to reduce clutter in the fridge, consolidated the ingredients from another bottle into this one. Unfotunately this had the side effect of dissolving the cool looking deposits that had formed in the depressions on the bottom of the bottle. I don't know how long they will take to form again or if they will be as interesting as the ones I had. Oh well.
